Rob Zombie to Direct “Halloween” Remake

Don’t know how I missed this one, but Rob Zombie — director of the good “House of 1000 Corpses” and the excellent “Devil’s Rejects” — has been tapped to direct a remake/prequel of the horror classic, “Halloween.” If anyone can do this right, Mr. Zombie can.

House of 1000 corpses was excellent. Devil’s Rejects was borderline unwatchable.

Devil’s Reject was amazing
It was an awesome horror movie and showed that he matured alot as a film maker
House… was kind of all over the place him trying to do everything he ever thought of or wanted to 20 years before.

I also think I preferred “House of 1000,” but “Devil’s Rejects” is pretty amazing. I don’t know. I’d have to watch both again.
“Rejects” was a bit heavy-handed in spots, I thought. You could really feel the effort Zombie was making, especially in the end. His wife was a glaring weak spot too. She made the effort, but just didn’t have the chops.
Still, they’re pretty much the best two horror movies of the last few years…and I’d even go as far as saying two of the best American films of the last few years.

For me, “Corpses” loses points for being too “Chainsaw” esque. “Rejects” was just a lot more original, I thought. “Corpses” did scare the hell out of me though. Whatevs, I own both of them.

Rejects was terrible. Not original, not well made, not worth the film it was shot on. Pure masterbation.

haha no, but I was accessing the site through my parents’ computer, which is always an adventure.
