I always thought the muu-muu’s popularity was striclty limited to Wal-Mart shoppers and Mrs. Furley Roper, but in 1972 it was apparently a huge fashion must have. Since this came out of one of DC’s old romance comics, I’m assuming it was targeted directly at a female audience and not towards high school boys in desperate need for a Mother’s Day gift.
