There’s nothing at all that’s genuinely newsworthy about this story - a guy decides to implement the five finger discount with some comics at a local convenience store and gets busted. It managed to make the local newspaper in Bedford, TX, though, and you know the reporter that typed it up is a total comic book geek because he felt the need to name-drop the comic book publishers in his report.

According to a police report, the man walked into the store about 5 p.m. and snatched three DC and Marvel comic books valued at $2.99 each.
