Those of you who are at least 30-35 and older should remember these ads. Now, I don’t know of a single person who ever actually sold Grit – hell, I never even saw an actual issue of the near mythical periodical – but I also don’t know of a kid who didn’t at least fantasize about seling the damn thing and making their first fortune by the age of 13. If anyone ou there was a successful Grit salesperson, I’d love to hear about it. Even more, I’d love to see a scan of an issue so I can maybe finally understand what all the fuss was about.







Seriously, what was the content of Grit?? I loved the other ads where it explained what you could get if you sold enough subscriptions. Camping gear! A skateboard! An Atari 2600!

If that is the same GRIT Fitz it sure has changed.I read it all the time about 45 years ago{big mistake because that was my nick name all though school} and it was like a paper back mag like the STAR.It was full of cool kids ads and funny stories back in the day.
