You’ve all probably heard this already, but the OG herself, Gwyneth Paltrow, has signed up to play Tony Stark’s assistant “Pepper” Potts in Jon Favreau’s shaping-up-to-be-interesting Iron Man flick. She joins a cast that already includes Robert Downey Jr. and Terence Howard.

“Her representatives let us know that she wanted to do a movie like this,” said Kevin Feige, Marvel’s president of production. “A few phone calls later from all parties involved, and over the weekend it happened.”

Jon Favreau is directing the movie, which will be distributed by Paramount Pictures. Production is scheduled to begin in March in Los Angeles.

I think the movie is due next year…? Anyway, no word yet on what the general public thinks about a Marvel superhero movie that stars real, legitimate actors who aren’t British dudes.
