Congratulations, Ghost Rider. You have officially joined Daredevil and Batman and Robin as one of the worst movies (comic book based or not) I’ve ever paid to see.

Meh, I found it rather entertaining actually in a brainless kinda way. More in the way of Flash Gordon than the Batman Begins of superhero flicks, its about a guy with a flaming skull man… perhaps it shouldnt be taken quite so seriously.

Actually I didn’t take it seriously at all. I went in ready to like it — I was hoping for a kind of fun B movie. And to its credit, Ghost Rider himself looked cool. But the main villain (the dude from American Beauty) was laughably bad, in terms of acting and villainy. And the Devil actually turned out to be kind of a good, didn’t he? Which I doubt the producers were going for at all…

Well he was very devil-ish in regards to his promise about Johnny’s dad. Very smooth in his deception, which worked for me as a depiction of the Devil.
But I thought the guy playing Blackheart was ok as a campy villain. One of the weaker points of the film sure, but it didnt feel out of place with the general tone of the flick. Although I can buy that the humour might not be to everyones taste.
