A 20th Century Fox live-action film based on the best selling PC game in history, The Sims, is in the early planning stages according to Variety.
“‘The SIMS has done an interactive version of an old story, which is what it’s like to have infinite power and how do you deal with it,” said Humble. “Given that that’s an old story, you can imagine how easily that would translate to traditional story telling.”
Uh, sure buddy. According to the article the other “talent” involved includes the creative minds behind Norbit, Eragon, and Scary Movie 3.

So, this is already shaping up to be a winner. No word yet on how they’re going to manage a plot out of a game that is, for all intents and purposes, 100% plotless and far past its peak popularity.

Andrew, what are you talking about, Hollywood running low on creativity? I’ve been waiting for a Sims movie since I played the game at my friend’s house for 30 seconds about 7 years ago and got bored!
