This may be the most erfect example of a review that damns a movie with faint praise that I’ve ever seen. I swear to god, there’s enough in this 90 second review of the movie to populate a poster full of amazingly lukewarm pull quotes. To wit:

Review of the movie as a whole: “If (fans of the characters) don’t expect too much, they might be OK with it.”

Regarding the unabashed cheesiness of the special effects: “It almost looks like something that wasn’t…quite…made recently, and that may even be part of a deliberate effect.”

Misjudging the propensity of comic book fans to lose their shit over the smallest of continuity glitches: “I think ome of the fans of the comic book are actually gonna like what’s been done with the story (of the Silver Surfer).”

Watch the review for yourself - it almost makes me want to waste an afternoon heckling the screen with some friends.
