Jobs To Disney: “Enough With The Crappy Sequels!”

A lot of people love Steve Jobs and a lot of folks loathe him, but here’s a corporate move he’s announced that should have just about everyone smiling. Disney’s single largest shareholder has used his muscle to shut down the Disney habit of producing crappy direct to DVD sequels to seemingly all of their successful - or even semi-successful - theatrical flicks. Even when he had no pull at Disney outside of the Pixar films, Jobs was on record as saying he felt that the low budget sequels were an embarassment to the Disney reputation. It’s nice to see that he actually meant it and wasn’t afraid to actually do something about it now that he’s a part of the inner workings of The Mouse.
