New Transformers Cartoon

According to IGN, Transformers: Animated, co-developed by Hasbro and Cartoon Network, will be the next Transformers cartoon. Debuting in 2008 with 26 episodes and (possibly) a 90-minute movie, the show is a departure in both theme and character design. The Autobots will be more of a superhero team that takes on the Decepticons, while the look of the show is much more in line with other Cartoon Network fare like Teen Titans. Still, there hasn’t been a good Transformers ‘toon since 1999’s Beast Machines, so who knows what this will be like.
First image after the jump. What do you think? I’ve gone from “WTF?” to kinda digging it.

Yeah, right? WTF with using “Animated” in the title? Isn’t that how they’ve always been presented? Or does that mean they can’t stop moving, like robots with ADHD?

My only guess is, to differentiate itself from the movie? It’s still odd though.
