Yes, yes, it’s probably far too soon for Chris Benoit jokes - as a longtime wrestling fan, I’m still kind of in shock and semi-denial about the way his life turned out - but dammit, funny is funny. Mix still-raw emotions over a popular celebrity’s death with the traditionally hi-strung nature of online Hal Jordan uberfans and you get a cocktail for politically incorrect hilarity. The best part is when the original poster defends his initial comments by claiming to be a nine year old kid and the others completely believe him and lecture the poor “child” on proper posting etiquette.

EDIT: Well, crap - seems DC’s mods were taking the weekend off and came loaded for bear this morning - apparently any and every thread mentioning Benoit in any capacity has been deleted. Ah, well…there’s always Google’s cache!
EDIT 2: Thanks again to Tae - here’s another thread comparing Benoit and Hal Jordan, but they manage to bring Sue Dibny and Jean Loring into the mix as well!

I still think that probably the sickest thing from this whole thing is that Benoit used the Crippler move to kill his kid. I can’t even look at any images of the guy without feeling totally repulsed.

Any1 thats like “Oh, your such a dick for makin a Benoit joke.” can go to hell. I used to b a huge wrestling fan. I met chris about a year ago. And he killed his whole goddamn family! You would laugh @ OJ jokes, but not a Benoit joke b/c he was a good wrestler. Well, even though he was an awsome wrestler, he should still go to hell for killin his family, and I will applaud anyone that has the balls to make any joke about Benoit.
