In truly sucky news — and one that just made about 67 million people put off the purchase of a next-gen system — Take-Two Interactive has announced the delay of Grand Theft Auto IV to sometime 2008. From the press release:
Take-Two is reducing its fiscal 2007 guidance primarily to reflect the movement of the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from the fourth quarter of fiscal 2007 to fiscal 2008, due to additional development time required to complete the title.
Looks like Halo 3, Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. Brawl will rule the roost this holiday season. More importantly, this is a major blow to Sony, who now really has no AAA game of note for the PS3 coming out this year. Ouch.

Ugh.
Mass Effect? Haze (which isn’t that great)? Crysis? Bioshock? Assassins Creed? Madden? Rock Band? Guitar Hero 3? Army of Two? Blue Dragon?
There’s more to the world then a chief and pudgy plumber. Daniel Brooks sucks.
I still love you, Mr. Kojima. And Mario Galaxy is gonna sell more than any of those games, with the exception of Rock Band, possibly.
