It’s a little too soon for retro-comics to be targeting the 90s, don’t you think? I mean, I know that Marvel’s got this whole thing going on with Silvestri and Top Cow and all that, but damn, is this one of the blandest, most early-90s looking promotional pieces to come out of Marvel in years, or what? There have been uglier pieces to be sure, but this is Silvestri giving his best “I’m not even going to bother trying” attempt. The worst part is that it’s not just some random ad in the middle of the book - they plastered it on some prime real estate, right on the back cover. Blech.
