Who Had “Anchorwoman” In The New Series Deadpool?

AnchorwomanIn yet another example of how sex doesn’t always sell, Fox’s newest sitcom reality series, “Anchorwoman,” has been yanked from the schedule after airing a single episode. The show apparently featured an ex-Price is Right model/WWE Diva in the lead role, but nobody seemed to care or tune in, instantly cementing the show’s place as a question in an upcoming edition of Trivial Pursuit.

The debut of the reality show about Lauren Jones’ attempt to turn herself into a news anchor for a Texas TV station drew an estimated 2.7 million viewers Wednesday, according to preliminary figures from Nielsen Media Research.

That number is about a third of the viewership Fox attracted a week earlier with the finale of its popular “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Fans of the series will be able to watch the remaining episodes online at Fox’s site.
