Crocs may be the ugliest shoes to come along outside of Uggs, but you can’t argue with the fact that the half of America that doesn’t hate them seems to be wearing them. I haven’t given into the dark side yet, but I have little doubt that I’ll be hooking my daughter up with a pair in the next year or so. Thankfully, she’ll be able to tell her Crocs from her friends’ because of the buttons you can buy to fill the holes in the shoes. They call them “Jibbitz,” and my wife grabbed a handful of them while at Magic (a fashion industry trade show) last weekend. I have to admit, the little things are pretty cool when taken on their own terms. Surprisingly detailed and pretty darn well made, which I guess they have to be to stand up to little kids abusing them day in and day out.
