Jonesin’ For Some Candy Corn (Soda)

Last year, I came across the novelty 4-packs Jones Soda released for Halloween, but I didn’t bother with them because I was in the beginning stages of my whole “kick the high fructose” thing. I’ve been silently regretting not trying the Candy Corn flavor all year long, so when I saw them again this year (made with sweet, sweet cane sugar), I grabbed a pack.

The flavor is pretty much exactly as advertised - liquid candy corn. Whether this is good or bad is entirely dependent upon your personal feelings towards the seasonal candy, but I kinda like the stuff, so I kinda like the soda. The half-can pony size is perfect, because you finish your can just as you start to question whether or not you should be drinking it. More than most sodas, this has to be imbibed cold, however, because at even a semi-warm temperature it becomes significantly more difficult to drink.

The color of that stuff is beyond belief. It looks like spaceship fuel or dragon pee or something.

I drank this stuff once. I’s like accidentally licking Paula Deen.
