Introducing The Death Metal Men

Duncan Rouleau’s new Metal Men mini series is a frustrating mix of gorgeous art and fun ideas unfortunately combined with sometimes impenetrable storytelling and dialogue. There’s little use in denying, however, the sheer coolness of this splash page from the end of issue two, which introduces a cheesy yet undeniably obvious idea worthy of Grant Morrison.

110% agree - amazing art but don’t let Duncan write the story.
I love the ideas and hope that Metal Men can continue but get a new writer in there ASAP - this is as hard to follow as the first 8 issues of the new Flash comic.
“Impenetrable” is right on the money - And they should get rid of Doc Magnus’ sports jacket I know mostly fans of the ORIGINAL series are reading this but there won’t be any new readers if they keep him looking like my GRAND-dad in the 1950’s with the pipe - when will the Beaver and Eddy Haskill make a guest appearance.
So many great ways to make MM work in 2007 without making it too Silver Age-ish, but still keeping the fun in there, Didio - another nail in your coffin.

Death Metal Men. Sounds like a great idea.
In 1989.
