Amazon’s MP3 Store Is The Ballz

When Amazon announced their mp3 store, I was well convinced that it was gonna be like their Unbox service and, well, blow. I expected DRM riddled files with no Mac support and a crappy interface. Thankfully, I was well wrong.
I just downloaded the Supersuckers Live At The Magic Bag album with no problems at all. In fact, it was easily as smooth as anything I’ve ever ordered through iTunes, and at a much cheaper price, to boot. The only thing approaching a hassle was downloading the MP3 Downloader program, rebooting Safari and then going back to the page to order the album. The One Click ordering was exactly that, and Amazon’s downloader software put the mp3s right into my iTunes library right where they belong.
All in all, Amazon’s mp3 store is a pretty sweet experience, and with many of their offerings undercutting the iTunes store by 10 cents per song to 2 bucks an album, it’s one I’ll be having again in the future.
