Apparently this is the cover to a recent Japanese textbook teaching kids about reproduction that has the added bonus of developing hentai readers young!

Though animefying anatomy textbooks isn’t a surprise. Anything to strengthen the market while at the same time appealing to kids to learn. My only fear is that it will spread like a disease. We already have some idiots in England making “manga Shakespeare”. Though it’s all by British comic artists who think they’re too good for the term comics.

well i do know anime is popular in Japan but they didnt have to do this…. i read the comments above -.-” is that what we want kids thinking?! i mean the real body looks more disgusting than a drawing… one thing is for sure its up to the school to get the books and we can’t help that (well the parents can complain and do something but since im not in any school with this book… or Japan for that matter i have little say)although i can comment my oppinion… I say schools are better off without the book but its still their choice (a stupid one at that)

I don’t particularly feel that -if this truely is a text book-it is indecent. I don’t see how an accurate drawing is any more different from a real photo and I don’t see how hentai is any different from porno. The Japanese culture uses anime images in alot more than americans use cartoons in, and so its not particularly odd to see anime used in educational circumstances.

It’s quite common for a baby to be born with some hair, but not that much and it’s usually dark in color.

I just find this abit odd,I can understand using an anime illustrations to get kids more interested in learning,but I still think a more realistic approach would be more well suited.Also,that’s about the size I draw the bust of my OC girls.

Well If this did become an everyday thing in Janpan, they would need to have lots of detailed pic’s…And even a movie showing how it is done, what the woman may go though, and how much stress it has on the woman’s body to have it…Ok not all Woman have it hard, but still the fact that it is the worsed pain a woman can have in there lives. So I think go for it, but make it as real as possable. Then that way the kids know every little detail. Ok It’s gross, but it’s the only way to show them. This is coming from a woman’s know how ok! We should know!…LOL…LOL.

Textbooks have been illustrated for years, with many different illustration styles for that matter. To put it simply this isnt the first time I have seen a anime esque style of art in a text book and im sure it wont be the last.

Not to mention that all textbooks had before the photograph was invented and made affordable was hand drawings. If anything, this is like a major step back in time for Japan.

Actually I can see the logic behind illustrating a book used for teaching children, I mean think about it how gross would it be if they printed a real vagina in a book, you know, non-pin up style, probably not gonna be a model, might just be a pregnant woman from real life, and considering most women have a baby in their late 20s and in their 30s. This is hentai and it is not from a text book (As far as I can tell, I can not read the kanji..)
Hentai as the Japanese refer it to means perverted basically, while Americans think that the word means sex or porn.
Also the fact that teenagers and young people (I myself being 15) like these sort of images is fine and quite normal. I would apericate this in school, as current literature is plain and rather lame plus it would make a few people pay attention. (seeing as no one in school pays attention.)

If I was asked my oppinion on this book, I would probably approve. Not because I want to masturbate to it or anything like that, but because if this were any other kind of sex-ed book filled with pictures of fucking dolls and manicans with drawings telling you where everything was at, I would probably start thinking something like “this is bullshit, what the fuck am I learning with this crap” and if they did use real women, like real pregnant woman, they would be like in their late 20’s or 30’s because I dont really think some teenage prego would want to broadcast their pregnancy, and im not sure that the guys (and the girls even more) would want to see any of that, I think that the whole “ecchi-pregnancy” manga thing would attract the younger veiwers (me being one of them) so, if I was in japan (or even knew japanese) I would approve and support this book
