Dana and Fox live again next summer in a theater near you:

The studio is staying little about the film’s story line. All that is being revealed is that it is a “supernatural thriller” and that the movie will take the complicated relationship between FBI agents Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) in unexpected directions as Mulder continues on his quest for the truth and Scully remains inextricably tied to her partner’s pursuits.

Remember when this show was the s*&t of all time? I’m making the call: this is where the 90s nostalgia wave starts.

Anyway, let’s all hope Chris Carter can try to return X-Files to the glory years of its middle seasons instead of trying to finally explain the immensely unsatisfying trainwreck narrative that took over the show and proceeded to never resolve itself.
