One of the beautiful things about having a toddler around is that you can blatantly revisit your childhood without your wife looking at you even the slightest bit sideways. I was perusing YouTube with my daughter the other day, looking for some classic TV from my youth when I remembered just how much I loved the Spider-Man bits on The Electric Company as a kid. Completely crappy and inarguably cheesy, there’s no doubt in my mind that they played a huge part in the development of my opinion that Spidey’s the greatest superhero ever created. It amazed me as I watched them one after the other, just how much I remembered them, sometimes down to the word. Children’s Television Workshop was indeed the balls.
