Holiday Geekgift: The Marvel Vault

I ran across a stack of these at Costco the other day and was pretty much blown away by how insanely cool it is. I hadn’t even heard of it prior to seeing it in the store, and now I’m kinda hoping I get a copy this Christmas. Flipping through it, you can tell it’s not an exhaustive history of Marvel, but it does give an interesting historical overview of the company. It’s set up very much like informational plates would be in an actual museum, and the sketches, stamps, postcards and other paraphernalia are reproduced in amazing detail, down to the yellowing of the paper and worn edges.

Cover price is fifty bucks, and when you open it you immediately see why. However, Costco’s price is under $30, and amazon’s is hovering in the low $30 range with free shipping, so you can pretty easily get a deal on it.
