Marvel Will Confuse You Into Buying “The Hulk”
Author: Stephen Gerding

This might be the most convoluted, incomprehensible solicitation copy I’ve ever read. The new Hulk series may be great, and perhaps the “sentences” below make perfect sense to anyone who’s read the previous issues, but to the average person trying to decide if they’re interested in ordering a copy, this is near gibberish.
HULK #3
Written by JEPH LOEB
Pencils & Cover by ED MCGUINNESS
Variant Cover by MARKO DJURDJEVIC
Not a flashback! Not a dream! Together again for the first time! The battle you NEVER thought you’d see — The Hulk Vs. The Abomination! But…wait, we’ve seen that lots of times! Well… No you HAVE NOT. And it isn’t just because superstars Jeph Loeb & Ed McGuinness are bringing it to you for the first time — it’s because if you’ve been reading the Hulk (yes, we know there’s one or two of you), it CAN’T be possible! But it is — AND IN COLOR — LOTS OF THEM! The pulse-pounding, gamma-spawned action adventure continues in Hulk #3!!!
32 PGS./Rated A…$2.99

I find myself commenting Stephen Gerdling’s articles a lot. I think this solicit is Marvel’s roundabout way of saying this red Hulk definitely isn’t Banner, in case we were wondering. As for the “…IN COLOR — LOTS OF THEM…” part… I’m as lost as you are, man.
While I’m here, did you ever use any of those Halloween Jones sodas as mixers?

I did not! As this past Wednesday night in Baltimore proved out, I am no longer a drinker, though I still would like to throw a recipe or two together when I get the chance.

Just saw “WALK HARD:THE DEWEY COX STORY”; there’s a bit where Dewey refers to an episode of the 1970’s HULK tv show featuring TWO Hulks…one of them RED!What does it mean that their PARODY Hulk is now Marvel’s REAL Hulk?
