In a new article on Rotten Tomatoes, rumors (and remember folks, these are just rumors) abound concerning the bizarre happenings with the next Superman flick:

According to Variety’s Anne Thompson, “it is highly unlikely” that [Bryan] Singer will direct the Man of Steel’s next big-screen adventure, and it’s all but set in stone that Justice League of America will reach theaters before the next standalone Superman film…

Oh, and speaking of Brandon Routh? According to Latino Review, his spitcurl days are done. The site reports that Routh “will be replaced in the sequel by whomever is cast as Superman in the upcoming Justice League of America movie” — meaning that if another rumor is correct, Scott Porter (the wheelchair-bound Jason Street from NBC’s Friday Night Lights) is Warner Bros.’ new Supes.

So, if this all holds true, we’ll have a new director (and presumably, completely new creative team), and a new Supes. I just hope we get more of Lex Luthor’s insanely exciting real estate schemes, planning, talking, and talking about planning. But who knows?
