Marvel On Spider-Man: No, Really! It All Makes Sense! Really!!

In order to attempt to stem the complaints and confusion “One More Day” has generated on the internet and in comic book shops worldwide, Marvel’s released a handy dandy little illustration to explain the current Spider-Man universe’s state of affairs. Of course, the fact that they even had to create something like this in order to explain what the heck is going on right now kind of speaks to how well conceived and written the OMD arc was in the first place, but hey, we got some John Romita Jr. art out of it, so it’s not like it’s a total waste, right?
I have to say, however, Aunt May looks like she’d rather be dead than dealing with this nonsense.

Hey Steve, did you read Lying In The Gutters at comicbookresources.com this week? Rich Johnston suggests we all:
“consider “Spider-Girl.” A monthly title published by Marvel featuring Peter Parker and Mary Jane, married, and even their little May Parker swinging around. If you really want a “screw you Joe” message, then sending this book up the ratings, written by a previous Editor-In-Chief to boot, would really do the trick. I understand some retailers have seen a small upswing for that book.
Joe Quesada uses the “Spider-Girl” example in his CBR interview, in a fairly dismissive and sarcastic fashion. But it’ll need a drop in Spider-Man sales and a bigger upswing in “Spider-Girl” before anyone will take any notice. “
