A piece of Robert Crumb original artwork has set new records in a recent auction, selling for more than $100K. I hope Crumb gets a piece of this action and it isn’t something he sold to someone else a long time ago.

The original cover art for Robert Crumb’s iconic underground comic, Mr. Natural #1, sold recently in a Heritage Vintage Comics and Original Comic Art auction for $101,575, making it the first Crumb original - and the first underground original from any artist - ever to break the $100K barrier.

“Robert Crumb is, without a doubt, the most popular and influential of all the underground cartoonists,” said Jaster, “and Mr. Natural is one of his best known characters.
