Disney’s Runaway Brain “Poke Light”

Amongst the wide and varied items The Wifeâ„¢ brought back from her recent trip to Hong Kong was a Runaway Brain poke light. Apparently Disney’s licensed out a number of characters for these little flashlight doodads, and considering they cost about a buck fifty US, it’s pretty decently made. The designs are totally on point, and it’s actually fairly sturdy for a little hunk of plastic. However, despite the packaging’s claim, you don’t get some animated psychedelic light show when you flip the switch on the little guy.

As long as you’re not a Pac-Man, one would assume they’re perfectly safe to try to eat.

You’d think something called a poke light would be a little more powerful, but alas, the actual usefulness of this trinket is pretty nonexistent. Turn it on, and you get a bit of a glow emanating from Mickey’s head, but even in pitch black it’s pretty much useless. Still, if you like chaining Disney trinkets to your purse or keychain, these little guys’ll fit your bill while giving your OCD fingers a miniature light switch to happily flip back and forth.
