I have no idea if this has made the rounds already, but here’s a really nice shot of the box art for the special edition of the “Justice League: The New Frontier” DVD set. Green Lantern completists will want to note the little Hal Jordan figure.

So what else is special about this beside the GL figure? I have the 2 trades for this but I really want the Absolute Edition. I have never wanted an Absolute Edition before, not Sandman, not Watchmen, not Authority and not DKR. I just want this.

Wait… the special edition comes with a figure? I preordered it off Amazon and it didn’t say anything about it. Weird. I guess I wouldn’t mind another New Frontier Hal figure.

Mr. Freak - This is for the DVD release of The New Frontier; not the actually mini-series that it was based on. But I do recommend the Absolute edition since there are some great stuff inside it.
I have a question that cribs a little from Xenos. Is this DC Direct figure exclusive to a specific outlet (ie Best Buy, Target) that so en vogue with other CD/DVD releases? I only ask because I’ve heard rumblings about Target having an exclusive one but didn’t hear the entire details.

All very good questions, and…..I have no answers.
I will second the New Frontier Absolute edition, though. The story isn’t all that amazing, to be honest, but it’s solid enough to entertain, and the art is incredible in the oversized format.

I’ve confirmed that the exclusive GL figure will be at Best Buy. Although it does not list it specifically, there is a picture on their maidn Movie Pre-Order page:

Also interesting is the Triple H set that is being released that has him in a King of Kings/Crown of Thorn/Christ shot. Very interesting.

Britt I’m aware that this was about the release of the DVD of the cartoon. Haha I guess I didnt worded my comment properly and I was too eager to say how I want the Absolute Edition for said series.
