What is it with people who have absolutely no ability to deal with the public or reality trying to start their own businesses? Over the years, I’ve had to deal with a number of small business owners that were just unable to wrap their minds around the concepts of “customer service” or “public relations,” and they were often comic book store owners and/or managers. Since being online, I’ve seen the same weirdness come from any number of small press publishers who always follow the same pattern; show up unannounced and uninvited on a comic book message board shilling their often product, have readers either take offense to their hangout being spammed or simply respond negatively to the samples they’ve been directed to, then have the original poster lose their shit on everyone.

The more things change, etc. Dwayne McDuffie’s forum was hit by someone following this exact pattern of behavior the other day. Small pressers of the world, take notice: this is NOT how you win fans and influence collectors to buy your stuff.

HEY JACKASS did you ever take a look at the rest of this section it’s like 90% of that ADI guy plugging his work. I don’t see any reason why I can’t make an announcement or two and unlike some people i probably won’t start a new thread every time i update my material.
