Uh, not sure if I’m real late to the party on this or not, but anyway, not only are 80s interactive text-based video game legends Infocom on the web, but they’ve made their most famous games — the goofball fantasy adventures Zork I-III — available for free!

Download the games here. Not sure how these things have held up, but we’ll let you know . I remember them being enthusiastically clever, fun, and perhaps most of all, unapologetically nerdy.

The lack of graphics may have helped them age. Who knows. Watch out for the echo room…
