The Spirit’s City – It Screams

The teaser trailer for “The Spirit” is online – an MTV exclusive for some reason – and…it’s not half bad. Frank’s definitely put it together in the “Sin City” movie making mold, but that said, it still maintains a definite Eisner approach to the character in the way he moves, the camera angles, etc. My trepidation about the project just lowered another notch, though I still reserve the rights to nerd the fuck out and hate it when it drops.

Some small screencaps below, another thirty-some larger ones in the KFR gallery.

Huh. This looks kind of neat. Interesting they used the “Untouchables” movie music in there.

Weak. Looks like Miller wishes he woulda made Daredevil.
It would be great IF it wasn’t Eisner’s Spirit.
Why not use the actual SPIRIT font, rather than piss on a legacy? Is Denny going to save the Spartans from the Dirty Yellow Bastard? It’s pretty evident that ‘Frank MIller’ is written all over it, but leave a little bit of the original magic, huh?
