FOX Renews “Terminator”

Good news for fans of decent sciifi on TV - “The Sarah Conner Chronicles” has managed to avoid the typical FOX curse and was just greenlit for a second 13 episode season. Some people may get pissy about shortened seasons, but I’ve become convinced that the majority of television out there would actually benefit from “HBO seasons.” It seems that the shows with the highest quality and biggest rewatchability tend to flourish more with the 8-13 episode arcs rather than the 22-24 networks typically go or. Think about how much tighter the storytelling on “12″ would be than “24″ manages to be, for instance.
The network has greenlit a second season of the franchise series, picking up 13 new episodes. Move wasn’t a surprise; net and Warner Bros. TV had already started staffing a second season of the show.
Fox has also been developing potential companion series to the sci-fi hourlong and, in meetings with advertisers, execs have discussed several potential scheduling scenarios that include the show.
“It was a very ambitious show, and I myself was wondering if they could take on this mythology on a weekly basis,” said Fox Entertainment prexy Kevin Reilly, who credited exec producers Josh Friedman and John Wirth with making it work. “I’m excited to see them take another whack at it.”

I liked the first 13 eps…thought all the leads were great and I even liked BAG as he’s beefed up a bit since his 90210 days.
I loved the park scene in the season finale and hope they keep up with more endo sequences and melting flesh shots as they did in the first handful.
My biggest hate on time travel fiction epsecially when we all saw T3 - is why not send back the T-X instead of an 850 if you want to make a girl…I believe the t-1000 was a prototype but I guess I let the sense of time travel leave me when watching this show - as long as the action and twists work and the faithfulness to the first 2 movies is there - I’ll continue to watch.

hey this is doc from the itunes podcast: Heroes of Science Fiction and Fantasy, very good news. Seems like this series just continued to ramp up from the pilot. I agree with Lucas that Brian Austin Green has matured as an actor. The scene in the park was a classy touch(just as the picture was in the first Terminator movie). website www.hereosofsciencefictionandfantasy.com voicemail 1-206-333-1297
