Gwyneth Paltrow’s “Iron Man” Vogue Photo Shoot

Gwyneth Paltrow’s the cover celebrity/story for this month’s Vogue, and while the whole thing pretty light on the “Iron Man” stuff, the photo shoot is all armored up to the point of nearly being a fetish gallery. Well, as fetishistic as a mainstream mag like Vogue is likely to get, anyhow. I’m not sure what to make of the interviewer referring to “Iron Man” as being an action-comedy, so I’ll chalk it up to half-assed reporting. Kind of hard to take someone named “Plum” too seriously…

Apple, a mini-Gwyneth with long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, and Moses, a chubby toddler with angelic curls, wave goodbye to their mom, and a few minutes later, we’re downstairs, where Gwyneth’s driver is waiting outside to take us to lunch in a sporty Jeep. Gwyneth tosses a Gap blouse on the backseat; she wants to exchange it for a bigger size later. She rides up front, BlackBerrying furiously while chatting about what’s going on in her life. Gwyneth recently started acting again—in Jon Favreau’s comedy-action flick Iron Man, released this month, and James Gray’s Two Lovers, slated for later this year. She is now embracing the peculiar role of the Hollywood working mom and the high-level juggling that it entails. There are the three houses—London, Manhattan, and Long Island—the living in two countries, the constantly touring rock-star husband, the Estée Lauder contract, a cooking show with Mario Batali that Gwyneth did because it was fun and different, and the promotion of her two new movies.

I was watching Sliding Doors the other day - movie from 1998 - so she was 25 in it - and she was hot then…seems kind of irrelevant now that she got married and disappeared with kids…but then again you need an actress who isnt a teenybopper for Tony Stark.
I hope Madame Hydra is in the next Iron Man movie played by Bai Ling and Milla Jovovich as the Black Widow.

Wow! Vogue sure does pack a lot of pretentiousness into one paragraph!
“BlackBerrying furiously” = sending text messages on something other than an actual BlackBerry. These are the same shallow fashionistas that still refer to anything vaguely hand-heldish as a “Palm Pilot.”
Nice, scary transsexual look by the way. Let’s hope the film is a little kinder.
