That ugly dude below? that’s Anti-Venom, from Entertainment Weekly’s preview of an issue of “Amazing Spider-Man” later this summer. I understand why Marvel would be leaking this to EW, but I’m not quite sure why EW is bothering with a two-page preview that doesn’t show anyone much of anything…other than Mary Jane being back in the picture. OK, yeah – I guess that’s probably enough to crank up the linkage and subsequent clicks from comic book themed websites worldwide. I do have to say that referring to Eddie Brock as a “Frenemy” is really just sad, however, and I hope that copy didn’t come from Marvel.
