That’s right, Duncan main men Werner Herzog and David Lynch are MAKING A FILM TOGETHER. My bowels just relaxed themselves.
Herzog and his longtime assistant director Herbert Golder co-wrote “Son,” loosely based on the true story of a San Diego man who acts out a Sophocles play in his mind and kills his mother with a sword. The low-budget feature will flash back and forth from the murder scene to the disturbed man’s story. A guerrilla-style digital video shoot on Coronado Island is tentatively set for March.
In one of the most amazingly random wtf articles in recent memory, the piece goes on to say that not only is Lynch set to also co-produce a “metaphysical gangster movie” directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky (if you’re keeping score that’s batshit crazy genius director #3 involved here) and starring the slutily hot Asia Argento, but that Herzog himself is directing a remake of Abel Ferrara’s epic work of insanity Bad Lieutenant with none other than the purposefully worst actor ever: Nicolas Cage.
Meanwhile, somewhere the ghost of Klaus Kinski is ranting at no one in particular and being awesome.

This is the best news ever.
That’s a whole lot of crazy right there. Uwe Boll’s gonna be knocking on the door to get in on this. Let’s hope Crispin Glover gets there first.
Uwe Boll can’t hold Lynch and Herzog’s jocks.
No, but he could make a bad movie about the video game based on their jocks.
And he’ll punch out anyone who says different!
Werner Herzog, David Lynch. David Lynch, Alejandro Jodorowsky.
Wow. Though I still need to see some Jodorowsky films myself. I do have some European comics by him.
