Waiting In Line For Wii Fit

Dan went to pick up a copy of the newly-released-today Wii Fit at the Nintendo Store in midtown this morning on his way to work. And what did he and his camera phone run into? Because this is NYC, a big ass line, of course. Do they ever NOT have lines at this place?

Just got back and scored a Wii Fit (plus an amazing free T-shirt with the Wii Fit logo on the front and, no joke, Nintendo genius Shigeru Miyamoto’s mug on the back…!). Initial thoughts, without having even taken it out of the box…the thing is pretty effing heavy! Plus, they had them set up throughout the store and people were having a great time with it — in particular, people were loving one running exercise where you put the Wiimote in your pocket, making it a pedometer, and run in place while the screen shows your Mii jogging. Very cool stuff!

Man, if wait in line for a video game (especially wii fit) you should probably be sterilized for the good of the gene pool.
