Wow!! This Logo sucks!
Author: Stephen Gerding June 17th, 2008Quick test: What’s the following logo for? Answer after the jump.

I’m sure most of you recognize it as DC’s new initiative designed to tell readers when a particular issue of a series is of particular interest. A way of labeling “key issues” as it were. Unfortunately, not only is DC totallly ignoring this logo’s promise of adhering to continuity, but it happens to look like it would fit in better on a pamphlet preaching about Revelations rather than a superhero book…

Wasn’t this a TV show in the early 90s?

It is pretty pathetic that DC has to put a logo on issues of books they think are important. What ever happened to producing a good series period? Is DC that obsessed with flash in the pan crossovers and over hyped mega-events? Not that it matters. I think they used this ‘Sightings’ crap logo for all of not even a half dozen issues in one or two months. They also had a cheap ‘Dark Side Club’ logo on some of their books where that idea of Grant Morrison showed up. Way to trivialize and interesting idea, DC. Not that DC actually pays attention to what Morrison’s been saying anyway.
