Diddy’s black. What a shock. Way to ignore Malibu. Way to ignore Black Panther. Way to ignore many blacks and minorities who have worked very hard with all the glass ceilings in comics. Not to mention Blade. A black superhero.. who first appears homeless and alcoholic. Yeah. Wonderful. And with this nearly retarded rant, Diddy’s not doing any service to black people.
What a damn moron. Go back to ripping off other people songs, pretending you can sing, and changing you name every other week, Diddy.
Now I do understand some of his poorly articulated sentiment. Seeing 300 there was a swell of Greek ethnic pride. Maybe some humor and pride in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Of course then there’s Elektra. Blech. Just because something shares your ethnicity, that doesn’t make it good. (I remember first finding this out when my grandfather wanted to go to a Greek diner assuming it would be wonderful and it was awful rat hole.) It’s even worse when some marketing campaign tells you that you should like something because of your ethnicity. Seems Diddy here has fallen for that hook line and sinker.
When a black coworker heard about HANCOCK, she agreed with me that a homeless alcoholic wasn’t exactly a great role model for the kids. Then I told her about the Black Panther- you know, a KING who’s so smart and skilled he single-handedly beat the Fantastic Four- WITHOUT benefit of superpowers… back in the days when real-world blacks were still fighting to use the same water fountains as whites.Seems to me the racism here isn’t the genre’s- it’s just Hollywood (something Diddy is very much a part of…)
I’ll give hancock this;
it was not written with a black man in mind..
it was probably written with bruce campbell, B willis or someone else who’s good at playing not that loveable drunks.

It would’ve sounded better if Piddy said it this way - “Hancock sez ‘Superman, Tell Me How My Ass Tastes!’”

Wesley Snipes has just been dissed!(No point mentioning comics here; Diddy wouldn’t read one if you paid him…)

Also, judging something merely on someone’s ‘race’? Isn’t that the very definition of racism?

Sean Combs is an asshole. And a racist. But mostly an asshole. It’s a shame Biggie had to die so this asshole could use that to get really famous.

So he went home after school and “watched” a comic book?
Genius.

What a black racist ass-hole. All white people should boycot anything that he is associated with.
