And Now Here’s Something We Hope You’ll Really Like!

So, here’s the deal - KFR is not dead. It is, however, going to see a downturn in posting, as you’ve likely noticed the last week or so. What with Andrew and myself both becoming more and more embroiled in fatherhood, it’s just becoming increasingly difficult to post 4, 5, 6 items a day. There have been some days where we’ve struggled to get just a single post up, and that’s kind of sucked.
Now, we could have regaled you with stories of our kids, time and again, but we figured that that wasn’t exactly what KFR readers were interested in. However, it quickly dawned on us that: A) we had plenty of kid stories, pics and anecdotes to share and B) other comic book and pop culture junkies have kids too.
For the time being, nerddads.com will be the primary focus for Andrew, myself and Britt. You’ll notice that we’ve already crossposted a few KFR stories over there, as well as a number of totally original to NerdDads posts. We’re not promising a miraculous return to 6 new posts a day, but we should be more regular in our updates than we have been.
Again, KFR is not dead - there are always stories that will fit here that would be totally inappropriate on NerdDads. (From the Depths of YouTube, Mettalic album reviews, hentai textbooks, etc.) However, for the time being at least, regular, reliable daily posts here are probably a thing of the past. We hope that you’ll all join us at NerdDads with those of you uninterested in photos of other people’s kids able to filter that out and enjoy the other, KFR styled but more dad/kid themed posts.

Good to hear. Not a nerd dad myself quite yet, but looking forward to it. Got a great idea for a story: must have cartoon dvds from your childhood for your kids. Let’s face, cartoons have stunk the last 15 years.

Although having no kids myself, I totally understand. I have been missing my weekly “Dr. Doom’s Monday Affirmations”, though.
