Does this look like another awesomely fun Bruce Willis summer flick? Yes – yes, it does.
So, they’re asking $43 for this admittedly awesome little USB drive that’s engineered to transform into Ravage for you. On the plus side, it looks absolutely great – there’s no mistaking that ferocious snarl anywhere. On the negative, it’s $43 for a measly 2 gig drive! Kellogg’s is giving away 1 gig Star Trek USBs for $8 and a clipped Proof of Purchase! I understand this has movable parts and all, but man – they could have sprung for some decent capacity for that price.
Even better – for an additional two bucks, you can upgrade to the Collector’s Grade and get one that’s certified C9 mint or better. SRSLY!!

It was announced earlier this week that Marc Ecko’s line of clothing has managed to snag a DC Comics license. Here’s part of what they had to say about the deal:
“Both the Marc Ecko and the DC Comics brands resonate with an expansive and loyal fan base made up in large part by today’s youth culture,” said Karen McTier, Executive Vice President, Domestic Licensing and Worldwide Marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products. “Through this exclusive partnership, we are able to present trendsetting fashions to these fans at a level only Marc Ecko can attain.”
Translation: “These t-shirts will run you upwards of $40 a pop.”
On one hand, these will probably look pretty amazing. Ecko’s Marvel line of clothing from 4-5 years back was easily a high point in geek fashion, and I own a few of them to this day. Outside of Graffitti Designs, I’m not sure there’s ever been a clothing company who made super hero themed stuff that actually understood and respected the medium’s history more than Ecko, so I look forward to the potential of a nice, heavy duty shirt with a Bill Sienkiewicz’s Batman page unfolding across the front of it to match the Sienkiwicz Daredevil shirt I already have in my closet.
But man, those prices…
You have to give it to the boys at Marvel – they’re pulling out all the stops for their 70th Anniversary! By far, though, this new feature showcasing vintage ads that ran in old Marvel comics has to be my favorite.

Forgive me my fascination with this, but I’m completely hooked on checking the status of the top selling ebooks in the iTunes store. I have no idea how many units one has to move to get a Top 20 position, but whatever the case, ATOMIC ROBO #6 coming in there is impressive. As I said before, it’s a relatively low profile title, a true indie comic, and to see them outselling other comics and books in the iTunes store, well, it does my heart good. I’m totally set to add a collection or two with this month’s comic order. I like what I’ve read so far – the book is very much like a robotic version of Hellboy – and the art is top notch, so it’s something I’ve been meaning to purchase fr a while now. With all the hoopla I’ve been giving it, I think it’s time to finally put up and buy.
The G.I. Joe spot? That’s a trailer. Gets you amped for the movie and prepares you for the differences you knew were coming, but weren’t quite sure about. Bonus points: the Baroness.
The TF spot? WTF is that mess? Bonus points: Ravage and Insecticons!
I’m really not sure what to make of these trailers/teaser clips from the upcoming “Arkham Asylum” video game. The animation looks alright, except for the faces, and Batman looks pretty great. Bane and Harley – especially Harley – look more like “American McGee’s Batman” by way of Simon Bisley, which has me both kind of turned off on the game and intrigued, simultaneously. Ah, who am I kidding – like I’d have time to play the thing these days, even if I owned a next gen console.
