Were you, like me, curious about just how bad M. Night Shyamalan’s latest cinematic abortion The Happening is? Be curious no longer! Christopher Orr at The New Republic has the rundown for you in this impressively vitriolic review.
This film is so bad that I feel compelled to make a spoiler-laden list of its most laughably terrible parts rather than review it.
YES.
Seriously can you believe Shyamalan made a pretty great movie once? Although I’m starting to genuinely wonder whether he actually made The Sixth Sense. Word is his next film is a fictional adaptation of the journey he made traveling up his own ass.

Wow, not since the immediately pre-speculator era (late 80s) has a superhero movie actually sold superhero comics. But according to PW, the blockbusting Iron Man flick is doing exactly that.
Having two new Iron Man books labeled “#1” made prospective readers feel a lot more confident about pulling them off the rack, adds Malve. “You see people coming in and they’re not as tentative, not as afraid to pick it up. Everything Iron Man is selling out right now, which I’ve never had happen in all these years of [comic book] movies.”
“I thought I ordered way, way too many, but that wasn’t even close to being the case. The sales of [those two books] have been phenomenal,” says Jud Meyers of Earth 2 Comics in California, who is out of Viva Las Vegas, and about to run out of Invincible Iron Man. “There’s no doubt it brought people into the store.”

First Showing is claiming they’ve found Captain America’s shield in the impossible-to-avoid-thanks-to-us Iron Man movie.
The scene in which you can see the shield is after Iron Man returns from Afghanistan after fighting with the Mark III red/gold armor for the very first time. Right after he fights the two F-22 fighter jets, it shows him back in his lab trying to remove his armor but having trouble. Right as Pepper Potts walks down into his lab and asks him “what is he doing?”, the shield can be seen sitting on one of his tables behind him in the lower left corner. This happens around 1 hour and 30 minutes into the movie. Make sure to account for trailers if you’re going in. We confirmed it at a 6:40PM showing and the scene played at around ~8:18PM. Here is a very low quality photo just for reference. It looks much better in the movie.
Check out the site for a blurry still that, in true Loch Ness/Sasquatch form, may or not be the actual shield.
Thanks for the tip, Tae!

Sorry folks, we were kindly asked to take these down otherwise they were going to send Dr. Cobra after us. If you want to see something from The Spirit, check out the authorized pics above. Also please feel free to keep discussing about whether this flick is going to be any good or not.
