You can watch it right here, right now, or click through to see it in HD. The choice, it is yours!
In case you doubt the veracity of this post’s title, allow me to point out that one of the stars of the movie is the lead from “Supernatural,” Jansen Eckles, who the ladies pretty much seem to universally adore. Add in the whole IN 3D aspect, and you have a hell of a date movie. The trailer plays this up nicely, and even the official website gets into the 3D/date movie concept nicely. The Wifeâ„¢ was on board for getting a sitter as soon as good old Dean Winchester showed up in the trailer below.

I happened to stumble across the trailer for Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer last night, and was pleasantly surprised. The poster looks ridiculous, but the trailer makes the movie feel like a modern Evil Dead/USA Up All Night flick, and let’s be honest – the world could use a few more of those. A quick look around indicates we’re behind the curve on this one finds some decent internerd buzz for the flick, which generally means jack-all, but the international poster also has a litany of awards it’s won from various festivals, so there’s a good chance this’ll be entertaining.
More interestingly, the movie’s actually got a limited theatrical release thing going, so some of you may actually be able to catch it on the big screen rather than waiting around for the DVD or torrent. Nice!
Watch it while you can!

I really, really don’t know what to make of this. I see Eisner in there, but I’m afraid it may be getting overwhelmed by Miller. I do know that I’ll be doing my level best to see this in the theaters, masterpiece or P.O.S.
Full trailer, after the jump.

As eagle-eyed fanboys (and girls) noted last night, Apple.com has posted the highly anticipated “Watchmen” trailer scheduled to debut before “The Dark Knight” screenings this weekend. I’ve watched it a few times already and I have to admit – it’s got a good bit of awesome in it! I’m still not convinced that it’s going to be a good movie – Veitch just looks like a scrawny weirdo, they seem to have misunderstood the concept behind a pudgy, middle-aged Nightowl and Silk Spectre’s costume is…confusing – and I’m not sure how people unfamiliar with the source material will react to it.
However, chills of nerdglee coursed through my spine as I saw and recognized Gibbon’s panels popping up on the screen. Especially badass: Rorschach’s impromptu flamethrower, Veitch taking out the “assassin” in the lobby and the origin of Dr. Manhattan.
One of the most aggressively (and successfully) online marketed films in recent memory has to be Frank Miller’s The Spirit, which bows in theaters this Christmas and is sure to consternate Will Eisner die hards everywhere.
Either way, the movie has a spiffy new website that includes a whole bunch of goodies, including a somewhat random co-promotion with the EMA…? Check it out.
And while I’m at it, hey DC, how about a 2nd Best of the Spirit volume? The first one was actually really well done. Thanks.
