Did We Really Need “Lost Boys 2?”

I ask this in all sincerity, because I don’t honestly have an answer. Actually, the only thing preventing em from endorsing it 110% is the fact that The Other Corey only has a cameo in the thing and not a full-on role. WTF? He can’t be that busy that he couldn’t sign on for a complete movie - had to be insurance companies not wanting to write a policy for his addled ass…

The Spirit’s City - It Screams

The teaser trailer for “The Spirit” is online - an MTV exclusive for some reason - and…it’s not half bad. Frank’s definitely put it together in the “Sin City” movie making mold, but that said, it still maintains a definite Eisner approach to the character in the way he moves, the camera angles, etc. My trepidation about the project just lowered another notch, though I still reserve the rights to nerd the fuck out and hate it when it drops.

Some small screencaps below, another thirty-some larger ones in the KFR gallery.

“Wolverine And The X-Men” Trailer Online

Author: Daniel Brooks February 4th, 2008 4 Comments »

Here it is folks, your first glimpse at the new Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon in motion. Seems like it’s heavily influenced by the movies, with a healthy dose of Astonishing (in the costumes, at least) thrown in for good measure. Still, I can’t really say I totally understand the premise of the ‘toon after seeing this, except that the X-Men have disbanded, Wolvie is trying to get them back together, and some shady folks are after said ‘Ol Canucklehead. But I do like the look of the show, more than most Marvel toons of late. Anyways, what say you?

What Would Neil Patrick Harris Do?

Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle was a surprisingly funny stoner flick that came out of nowhere a few years ago, and the sequel, H&K Escape From Guantanamo Bay looks even better. It’s all kicked up to yet another level with the inspired domain name, whatwouldnphdo.com and the image of Doogie himself astride a beautiful white unicorn, looking for all the world like he just stepped off the cover of some young girl’s middle school notebook.

I know nothing at all about this trailer, it’s director or it’s stars. I do know, however, that I want to see the movie.
