T-Shirt Alert: “The Beginning”

Once upon a time, there was a movie title “Batman Begins.” It would have been a lot more fun and interesting if it had followed a premise closer to that of this brand new Threadless shirt.

Shirt Alert - Led Zeppelin’s “Hammer of the Gods”

Author: Stephen Gerding November 8th, 2007 1 Comment »

Scary Go Round’s Jon Allison seems to make a decent penny (or would that be pence?) off of his t-shirt business, even though the majority of the designs have little to nothing to do with the popular webcomic. He’s got a couple of new offerings right now, and while “Amy Acker Ate My Hamster” certainly has some serious geek appeal, “Hammer of the Gods” is pretty much, well, amazing.

Slightly puzzled and befuddled as to why this particular shirt struck me as being so righteous, I turned to Andrew for advice. He set me straight:

“Zeppelin is the fucking shit of all time is why.”

‘Nuff said.

Shirt Alert - Close Encounters Of The 2D Kind

Woot’s t-shirt site has been a mixed bag so far, with some designs being truly amazing and others making you shake your head in bemused wonderment that they were ever printed, much less printed with the idea of making money off them. This shirt, winner of one of shirt.woot’s recent free-for-all design derbies, is definitely of the former variety.

Like all shirt.woot offerings, this may disappear forever from the face of the internet at any moment, so grab yours now - hey, it’s only $15 with no shipping, after all!

This is one of those ideas I really, really wish I’d had first. Brilliant in it’s simplicity, elegant in it’s nerdity.

Comic Books, Video Games Represent At MAGIC Apparel Show

Author: Stephen Gerding September 2nd, 2007 13 Comments »

The latest MAGIC apparel industry show in Vegas has come and gone, and as always there was a plethora of licensed clothing on display. The Wife™ was there for business, but managed to take a few cameraphone pics for KFR readers to peruse.

First up is the Dark Knight tie-ins. The booth was apparently pretty hard to miss, what with the Batcycle on display and the oversized graphics screaming at passersby. Sorry about the fuzzy detail shot of the shirts - 1.2 megapixel phone my ass.

T-Shirt: Reality Isn’t For Everyone

We’re posting an awful lot about t-shirts lately - often enough that we’ve created a new category specifically for them - but that’s not going to stop me from posting a link to this fine piece of art. It’s from Shirt.Woot.com, so supplies are limited and it may be taken off the market at, quite literally, any given moment. so, I’d suggest getting it while the getting’s good!
