Crazy Stop-Motion Animated Graffiti Short

I can’t even begin to imagine the amount of time and work that went into making this thing, not to mention the legalities. Whatever the case, the end result is nothing short of spectacular!

Sesame Street Firsts

Author: Stephen Gerding May 9th, 2008 No Comments »

Man I love Sesame Street, and even though it first aired before I was born, I still remember some of these from the constant reruns. Some of them are a little foreign though - I do NOT remember ever seeing an orange Oscar the Grouch at all.

Bert and Ernie - Note the hand sticking out of Bert’s mid-section!

Oscar the Grouch - Orange just doesn’t suit the dude.

PBR Me For Eternity

PBR casket

If this guy manages to get an old style pull tab installed on this thing, he’s officially the Hardest Man in the World.

Bill Bramanti will love Pabst Blue Ribbon eternally, and he’s got the custom-made beer-can casket to prove it. “I actually fit, because I got in here,” said Bramanti of South Chicago Heights.

He threw a party Saturday for friends and filled his silver coffin — designed in Pabst’s colors of red, white and blue — with ice and his favorite brew.

Thanks Mike!

Cartoon Network Announces “Raider of the Lost Brick”

Author: Stephen Gerding April 29th, 2008 No Comments »

Cartoon Network will be airing a CGI animated Indiana Jones “mini movie” special in a few weeks in order to educate younger audiences about the whole Indiana Jones thing I guess. It’s a short video that will also be online once it hits TV, so I wouldn’t bother changing any schedules or anything to catch it. Also, for those of you into this sort of thing, CartoonNetwork.com is rolling out an online Lego Indy game at the rate of a level a week. Have fun!

Official press release after the jump, under the following fanfilm.

Pop Culture Obsessives, Sharing Together

Author: AF Duncan April 22nd, 2008 No Comments »

Wow. Check this out. Randomly enough, this iReport site is posting some photo essays by pop culture collectors of their own booty. And by booty I mean riches! Sweet, sweet booty.

Anyway, if you take a sec and browse through you’ll not only: A) feel good about what little crap you have, but B) you can show the wife/g-friend/b-friend/bff/fiancee that you really aren’t quite that insane. It’s win-win!

Sin City’s Big List O’ Guns

Author: Stephen Gerding April 7th, 2008 No Comments »

I’m not even close to a gun fanatic, but that doesn’t make this page listing all the guns used in the “Sin City” flick (with screencapped examples of each) any less interesting. I do find it irrationally unsettling that there’s an IMDB for guns, but on a more rational level I realize it’s not much different than any other niche interest site.

Be patient - the site loads at a ridiculously slow rate.
